  • Volunteering in two refugee camps in Greece

    To be honest it was never the plan to volunteer in a refugee camp when planing this trip - but luckily I met the right people at the right time! So I took this opportunity and hitchhiked to Ritsona where some friends I met in Athens, where already volunteering since a few days. As I arrived there, for a short time it seems that I couldn’t join the local volunteer team as they already had enough volunteers in the team and therefore they where not able to accommodate me in the rented volunteers house.   • The first few days

    Thumbing for a ride from Graz to Zagreb The date to leave home for quite a long time was planed for the 19th of September. It was quite late for the route I had in mind but I needed the time to get the last things sorted out as this travel should be a little longer than everything else I’ve done before. I moved out of my apartment in Villach, I was living in for the last few years, sold my car and much of my other belongings.   • Today is the first day of the rest of my Life

    Planed route to India As of today I’m officially unemployed. After working for almost 8 and a half years in different positions and departments for my former employer I decided that it is time to move on and try something new. Something that I enjoy and I was dreaming and thinking of for the last decade. However it took me quite a long time and sadly some eye opening moments in the past year, to get my ass finally kicked.
